2020 Sewing Makes Review

  This has been a trying year for many of us, myself included. I did not get to sew as much as I would have liked while having my three-year-old at home full time, but I did get to accomplish, I am very proud of. Instagram First make of 2020: The first dress I've ever sewed.   I love sewing clothes for my daughter. The pattern pieces are so small, and it feels so quick sewing clothes for her, and as an added bonus, she tends to love anything I sew for her.  I purchased the pattern from etsy. The Princess Diana Blouse Made with Lutterloh Sewing System

YouTube Video Tutorial:  https://youtu.be/cpRCGR4tAUM After watching the Netflix documentary "Diana: In Her Own Words", I was inspired to make a high-neckline blouse that resembled many of the blouses Princess Diana used to wear.  I used two Lutterloh patterns to make this garment. The first one was from the supplement book 310, pattern number 2. The other was pattern number 229 from the original Lutterloh book.  I used the supplement pattern for the shirt design. I altered the pattern a little by choosing not to add the hole at the center top. I used the second pattern for the sleeves.  Step 1: draw and cut out the Lutterloh pattern pieces Step 2: wash fabric, cut out fabric pieces Step 3: sew the top shoulders of the blouse right sides together Step 4: gather sleeves to fit the sleeve holes (about 4 inches).  Step 5: Sew channel on the bottom of the sleeve about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
